STERLING MEN'S WEEKEND
The commond thread that all members of Sons of Maine have is that we've all done the Sterling
Men's Weekend. The men's weekend is a rigorous experience unlike any other. Justice would not be done to
call the Men's weekend a "seminar", "class", "retreat" or any similar label. The Sterling Men's weekend is
truly an experience. One that can change the direction of your life forever. You can acquire
the tools & clarity to move toward excellence in all your relationships in life. Excellence
in marriage, fatherhood, the workplace and any area you are committed to.
THE PURPOSE OF THE STERLING MEN'S WEEKEND
The purpose of the Weekend is to engage in the process of locating the source of your power and discovering and dissolving the barriers between you and manifesting that power so that you experience total freedom as only a man can, and with that freedom be the man you always wanted to be.
THINGS TO CONSIDER ON DOING THE WEEKEND
- The Weekend is not for men with problems, only for those wanting to move on.
- Being a man is being a father, being a son, being a husband, being a lover, being a friend. The Weekend will tune a man up for those jobs and experiences and others he will be confronted by.
- It will keep a man from making mistakes.
- It will assist him in defining his true purpose in life and give him the tools to pursue it.
- It will dramatically improve and empower a man’s relationships with his wife, other women, his family, and his peers in and out of work.
- It will empower every aspect of a man’s decision-making skills.
- It will be personally revealing in more ways than can be imagined.
- It is a life-changing experience.
- It is a blast.
- 50,000 men and women can’t be wrong.

($60 is usually all that is needed for lodging and transportation, then there is optional breakfast on saturday, snacks on breaks if you wish, etc.)
- A meal that you prepare, that will feed 6-8 men, is "fit for a king" and is a reflection of who
you are as a man. Meal should be arleady cooked and need nothing but heating and serving, but you should tape heating or other special instructions to the pan if needed. Suggestions are that you use a disposable pan so that you don't have to worry about locating it after the weekend and also include a serving utensil if needed.
- Dress comfortably! Bring warm clothing
- If there's someone you care about and you'd like them to be at your graduation monday morning, please do. If you need help getting them there, that WILL be taken care of. Monday morning graduation is quite powerful. If you have any doubts about whether you'd like your spouse or loved one there ask some of the men for feedback.
DO NOT BRING
- any cameras, weapons, drugs, alcohol, writing material or sound/video recorders.
- any non-prescription drugs or alchol 48 hours prior to the weekend.
- Report any special needs, health or otherwise, to the weekend personnell at the door.
- Have any issues which may distract you 100% "cleaned up" before you leave. You will want to
be completely clear and present for the weekend. It only happens once and if you miss some of it due
to being distracted by mundane, everyday problems you will regret it.
